The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported Monday that Timothy Martin, the Augusta Commonwealth prosecutor, has been named the new chief of the Prince William County district attorney's office. The Commonwealth Attorney is a constitutional officer elected by the citizens of Orange County for four terms of four years. Democratic candidate Amy Ashworth appears to have beaten Mike May to take the position of chief prosecutor in Prince William County. District prosecutors are choosing Tony, who worked on all types of criminal and traffic matters while he was an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney. While working on them, he was also elected district attorney.
